We are on our way to starting a new unit! This unit will be all about making inferences and using those inferences to analyze a text. This is something that will be a MAJOR help to you when you read, in life and on standardized tests. You make inferences everyday and probably in every class. We will be talking about how and when to use them in the near future!
When we make inferences, we are using our schema (or background knowledge) and clues that the author has given us to understand what is going on within the story. This video will help you understand a little more about making inferences. Make sure to think through the questions after the video segments! | |
